PROTECTING YOUR IMAGES
|
| |
Your original photographs and artwork can easily
be stolen from your website. There are a variety of techniques to
protect your graphics, some more effective than others. |

TRANSPARENT WATERMARKS
|
| |

With this type of watermarking a transparent logo or copyright notice
is put over the image, making it pretty unattractive to anyone for
reuse. The transparent image can be smaller than the one shown.
We can put our standard waternark on your images, or develop a custom
watermark for you from your logo. |

DIGIMARC
|
| |
This photo contains a "Digimarc" . You will likely
not be able to see it, but it is there.
Digital watermarking technology discreetly weaves information
into all forms of media content by making subtle adjustments to
the content itself.
Although generally imperceptible to the human eye, a digital
watermark can be recognized by a simple reader device or application
enabled with Digimarc software. Read
more about it!

SLICING
|
| |
The slicing technique makes copying an image very difficult because
the image is actually split up into many different sections. Someone
wishing to copy would need to copy each and every section which
would be extremely time consuming.

TECHNIQUES THAT ARE OFTEN USED BUT ARE NOT EFFECTIVE
|
| |
BACKGROUND
IMAGE
This technique makes your image a background image. Unfortunately
it can still be copied.
|
|
| |
NO
RIGHT CLICK
There
is also a technique called "no right click". The copier
gets a message that they connot copy when they right click on
the image to copy it.
It does work well, but tends to annoy those people who are determined
to steal the image and if they have enough expertise they will
find a way to get the image anyway. But it's the best way to go.
